Maclean clan has in many eyes the earliest recorded historical
link to the Isle of Jura and we have been developing this section as
our first Scottish Clan. Although a long way from finished we have

Isle
of Jura Whisky. This is the only way a lot of people
have heard of the Isle of Jura through drinking fine Scotch Whisky.
They are also one of the Islands largest employers so we have set
out a short guided tour into the distillation process with
particular reference to the way this distillery operates.
We
start with a brief overview of the history of Scotch
Whisky distilling before looking at the history
of the development of
Isle of Jura distillery . Having established the building we
start to look at the
Scotch whisky distilling process as practised in Jura. We then
look at
the whisky stills and the
Isle of Jura whisky aging process so important in making Scotch
whisky legally whisky. It would be impossible to consider the Isle
of Jura Whisky making process without also looking at the various
Isle of Jura Whisky brands,
